How the Scam Unfolded

According to police sources, the businessman and Sadhana connected through Instagram. Their online interaction soon developed into a relationship. During this period, Sadhana allegedly recorded private photos and videos of the businessman without his knowledge. She then used these recordings to extort Rs 1.5 crore from him, threatening to make the content public.

Police Investigation Underway

The victim approached the Bengaluru police, who have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act. A probe is currently underway to trace the accused and recover the extorted money. Authorities have also warned citizens to be cautious while sharing personal information online.
