This verdict underscores the judiciary's firm stance against sexual offenses targeting children.
Details of the Crime and Investigation
The convict, identified as Rutesh Anil Bhosale, a 22-year-old resident of Ganesh Chowk, Kangrali in Belagavi taluk, committed the offense on June 1, 2025. On that day, which coincided with the announcement of school results, Bhosale lured the minor girl to his house under the false pretense of offering her laddu. Once there, he raped her and issued threats to kill her if she disclosed the incident to anyone.
Exploiting the school holiday period, Bhosale further took the victim back to her house and subjected her to another act of rape. The parents of the girl promptly filed a complaint, leading to the registration of a case. The accused was arrested on June 10, 2025, and subsequently remanded to judicial custody.
