Bajrang Dal Member Faces FIR for Threatening to Burn UP Police Station

Police in Uttar Pradesh's Rampur district have taken strong action against a local Bajrang Dal member. They filed a First Information Report (FIR) after a video went viral on social media. The clip showed the man threatening to set a police station on fire.

Incident Unfolds at Kemri Police Station

The incident occurred on Sunday at the Kemri police station. The accused, identified as Suraj Patel, visited the station to meet an arrested person. Police officials denied him permission for the meeting.

This refusal triggered an aggressive reaction from Patel. He began using foul language against police inspectors and sub-inspectors present at the station. Witnesses reported that Patel boasted about his organizational connections during the confrontation.

"He dared police officers to arrest him," said an official familiar with the case. "His behavior was completely uncontrolled and indecent."

Viral Video Forces Police Action

The entire incident was captured on video. The clip quickly spread across social media platforms, drawing widespread attention. In the video, Patel can be heard making specific threats.

"Aag laga doonga," he declared, threatening to burn down the police station. This explicit threat became the focal point of the controversy.

Once the video gained traction online, Rampur police authorities decided to take formal action. They registered the FIR under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Accused Returns with Apology

In a surprising turn of events, Patel returned to the same police station later that Sunday. This time, his approach was completely different.

He submitted a written apology to the police officials. Patel expressed remorse for his earlier behavior in the formal letter. He also released a separate video statement where he apologized publicly.

"Senior officers have warned him against repeating such conduct," confirmed a police spokesperson. "We have ordered a proper inquiry into the entire matter."

The police emphasized that such threats against law enforcement personnel and institutions cannot be tolerated. They stated that the FIR serves as a formal record of the incident and ensures legal proceedings can follow.

Authorities are now investigating whether Patel's actions violated any additional laws. They are also examining his claims about organizational links made during the confrontation.

This incident highlights ongoing tensions between political activists and law enforcement in some regions. It also demonstrates how viral social media content can force quicker institutional responses to controversial behavior.
