According to the Amroha police, the tragic event unfolded on Monday evening in Nanhera village. The siblings, identified as Sheoraj Singh (36) and Sanyogita Singh (32), became embroiled in a heated argument. The core of the conflict was their claim to a share of their father's property, specifically six bighas of land.
The verbal altercation quickly escalated beyond control. In what officials describe as a fit of rage, Sheoraj Singh allegedly picked up a sharp weapon and struck his sister on the head. The blow proved to be instantly fatal, and Sanyogita succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Accused Flees, Police Launch Intensive Manhunt
Following the alleged crime, Sheoraj Singh did not stay at the village. Police reports state that he fled the location along with his wife and children, presumably to evade arrest. The swift response from law enforcement has now initiated a major search operation.
Amroha Superintendent of Police (SP) Amit Kumar Anand provided an update on the investigation. "Four dedicated police teams have been formed and are conducting simultaneous raids at various possible hideouts to apprehend the accused," stated SP Anand. The police are pursuing multiple leads to track down the fleeing family.
