Ajmer: Hardcore criminal Irfan Khan, lodged in the high-security jail of Ajmer, once again injured himself by hitting his head against the bars of his cell on Sunday morning. He was immediately taken to JLN Hospital, and police personnel from two stations were deployed for his security.
Second Incident This Month
This marks the second time this month that the prisoner has harmed himself while in custody. Civil Lines police confirmed that Irfan, a resident of Jaipur who is booked under 38 criminal cases including murder, intentionally hurt himself inside the jail.
Security Measures Taken
After the incident, the control room was informed, prompting a police force to be sent to the jail. The officers escorted Irfan to JLN Hospital, where security was provided by personnel from Kotwali and Civil Lines police stations. CO of Ajmer North Shivam Joshi also visited the hospital to assess the situation. Following medical treatment, Irfan was sent back to the high-security jail.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident to prevent further occurrences.
