Burglary at Ahmedabad Hearing Clinic: Laptop, iPad, and Hearing Aids Stolen
In a concerning incident in Ahmedabad, an unidentified burglar targeted a hearing care clinic in the Ambawadi area, making off with valuable electronic devices and medical equipment. The theft was discovered on the morning of February 5, prompting a police investigation into the break-in.
Details of the Clinic Break-In
According to a complaint filed by Dr. Devang Bhavsar, a 41-year-old doctor who operates the "Ear Can Hear" clinic near Parimal Garden, the burglary occurred between 11 PM on February 4 and 10:30 AM the following day. During this period, the clinic remained closed, providing an opportunity for the thief to strike unnoticed.
Dr. Bhavsar explained that his clinic typically opens at 10 AM, with his father arriving earlier to manage operations. However, on Wednesday, his father had traveled to Surat, leaving Dr. Bhavsar to open the clinic himself before departing for professional visits to Nadiad and Borsad later in the morning.
Discovery of the Theft
The theft came to light when Dr. Bhavsar's father returned to the clinic around 10:15 AM on Thursday. He immediately noticed that the door latches were broken and the door was left open, raising suspicions of foul play. Upon alerting his son, Dr. Bhavsar rushed to the scene to assess the damage.
Inside, the clinic was found ransacked, with items scattered across the floor in disarray. The intruder had thoroughly searched the premises, leaving behind a scene of chaos and loss.
Stolen Items and Police Response
The stolen items from the clinic include:
- A Lenovo laptop valued at approximately Rs 50,000
