Ahmedabad Cab Driver Brutally Murdered at Kankaria Football Ground
A young cab driver lost his life in a violent attack at a popular Ahmedabad sports venue. The incident occurred late on Tuesday evening, sending shockwaves through the local community.
Victim Found Bleeding on the Ground
Chirag Rathod, aged just 21, was discovered lying in a pool of blood at the Kankaria football ground around 9:45 PM. His brother Rahul Rathod immediately filed a formal complaint with the Maninagar police station.
The family made the grim discovery while passing by the ground. They noticed a crowd gathering and spotted Chirag's friend Nayan among the people. Upon closer inspection, they found Chirag bleeding profusely from his mouth with a serious torso injury.
The injury appeared consistent with an attack by a sharp weapon. Emergency services were called to the scene, but medical personnel declared Chirag dead upon arrival.
Compromise Meeting Turns Deadly
According to the police complaint, the murder resulted from a dispute earlier that same day. The conflict involved a woman friend of the victim and her boyfriend.
Chirag had reportedly objected to the woman's relationship, leading to a heated argument with her boyfriend. Later that evening, the boyfriend contacted Nayan through WhatsApp.
He allegedly invited them to meet at the Kankaria ground to "work out a compromise" regarding their disagreement. When Chirag and Nayan arrived at the designated spot, they encountered the boyfriend and another individual.
The two men were reportedly armed with dangerous weapons including a knife, a sword, and a stick. What was supposed to be a peaceful resolution meeting turned into a violent confrontation.
Police Identify Multiple Suspects
Authorities have named four individuals as accused in this brutal murder case. The suspects identified are:
- Manthan Parmar
- Jaydip Shah
- Harshil Shah
- Vijay Parmar
Maninagar police have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding Chirag Rathod's death. They are examining all evidence and witness statements to build a strong case against the accused.
