Judicial complexes in Jaipur were thrown into a state of high alert on Wednesday after yet another bomb threat email was received, prompting a large-scale, coordinated security operation. This incident marks the fifth such hoax threat targeting city courts in the recent week, raising serious concerns over the misuse of security protocols.
Security Agencies Swing Into Action
The alarm was raised early in the morning when the official email ID of the Jaipur Sessions Court received a threatening message. The email specifically warned of planned explosions at both the Sessions Court and the Rajasthan High Court. Acting with urgency, police immediately dispatched teams to both locations around 8 am, launching a simultaneous search operation in coordination with multiple security agencies.
Intensive 2.5-Hour Search Operation
The search was thorough and extensive, lasting for nearly two and a half hours. Specialized units including bomb disposal squads and dog squads were deployed alongside police teams. They meticulously combed through courtrooms, corridors, judges' chambers, and the surrounding areas of both judicial complexes. Despite the exhaustive efforts, no suspicious objects or explosive materials were found at either location, confirming the threat was a hoax.
A senior police officer involved in the operation provided details, stating, "This was another hoax threat. The threatening email was sent to the sessions court around 7:15 am, but it mentioned blowing up the high court." The officer emphasized that all standard security protocols were diligently followed during the response.
A Disturbing Pattern of Hoax Threats
This event is not an isolated one but part of a worrying trend. The judicial institutions in Jaipur have now been disrupted by five similar hoax bomb threats within the span of a single week.
