Details of the Scam

The fraud came to light when several victims approached the CCB with complaints. According to officials, the accused posed as agents with connections in government departments and lured job seekers by offering them positions in exchange for payment. The amounts collected from each aspirant ranged from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.

Modus Operandi

The accused allegedly used fake appointment letters and forged documents to convince the victims. They also set up a fake office to give an impression of legitimacy. After collecting the money, the accused went underground, leading to the victims filing complaints.

Investigation Underway
