Mass Promotion Ceremony for Andhra Pradesh Special Police Personnel
In a significant and morale-boosting development for the Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSC), a total of 300 personnel were formally promoted to the rank of Assistant Reserve Sub-Inspectors (ARSIs). These newly elevated officers paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of Police, Harish Kumar Gupta, at the state police headquarters located in Mangalagiri on Tuesday. Resolution of Long-Pending Promotions
The promotions were executed following recent government orders that authorized the elevation of head constables to the ARSI position. This process had been pending for APSC personnel since the period spanning 2014 to 2019, affecting Civil, AR, and APSC staff. The delay for APSC members was attributed to various technical reasons and restrictions imposed due to election-related activities, which have now been successfully overcome.
Prior to their meeting with the DGP, all 300 promoted officers underwent a comprehensive 12-day training programme. This training was designed to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge required for their new roles and responsibilities within the police force.

During the ceremony, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta extended his heartfelt congratulations to the officers, describing the mass promotion as a rare and proud occasion for the department.
