Shocking Crime in Bahour
A horrific case of sexual violence has emerged from Puducherry, where a 14-year-old girl, studying in Class IX, was allegedly gang-raped by four minors. The incident occurred in the Bahour area. Shockingly, one of the accused is reported to be the victim's boyfriend.
How the Incident Unfolded
The sequence of events began on Friday when the girl went to meet her boyfriend in Bahour. When she did not return home even after dusk, her worried parents initiated a search. After failing to locate her at her friends' homes, they approached the police and filed a formal complaint.
Acting on the complaint, police officials traced the girl's location to Bahour on Saturday and successfully rescued her. According to the police, her 17-year-old boyfriend, along with three other minor friends, locked her in a room and sexually assaulted her. All four accused are school dropouts.
Police Action and Investigation Details
Upon reaching the spot, the police found the victim in an unconscious state. They have since arrested all four minors involved in the assault. Police investigations revealed that the accused were under the influence of drugs at the time of the crime.
Furthermore, the police have launched a hunt for two more friends of the accused. Authorities clarified that these two individuals were not directly involved in the sexual assault but were aware that the girl was being held locked in the room.
In line with the Supreme Court directives to protect the privacy of survivors in sexual assault cases, the identity of the victim has not been disclosed.
