According to mall officials, the lift malfunctioned suddenly, trapping the occupants between floors. The teenager, whose identity has not been disclosed, fainted due to suffocation and lack of ventilation inside the cramped space. Other trapped individuals pressed the emergency alarm, prompting mall security to respond.

Rescue operation

Mall staff and security personnel rushed to the site and worked to manually open the lift doors. After 35 minutes of effort, all 13 people were safely evacuated. The fainted teenager was given first aid and later recovered. No serious injuries were reported.
