Mysuru to Get BR Ambedkar Theme Park on 10 Acres Near Yelwal

Social Welfare Minister HC Mahadevappa announced on Wednesday that the Karnataka government will establish a BR Ambedkar Theme Park near Yelwal in Mysuru. The minister, who also oversees the district, made this declaration during a district-level officers meeting convened to discuss preparations for the park's development in the city.

Project Details and Government Plans

The state government has unveiled plans to set up the Ambedkar Theme Park along with a museum on a 10-acre plot of land identified in a village within Yelwal hobli, Mysuru taluk. This initiative aims to honor the life and enduring legacy of Dr. BR Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution. The park is designed to educate future generations and promote the core values enshrined in the Constitution, fostering a deeper understanding of democratic principles.

Minister Mahadevappa emphasized that the Constitution offers solutions to pressing national issues such as unemployment and drinking water shortages. He stressed the urgent need to highlight the importance of the Constitution, as well as people's rights and responsibilities, to build a robust and resilient nation. To this end, he directed officials to prepare a detailed project report and a comprehensive blueprint for construction, noting that the state government has already sanctioned the necessary funds for the project.
