The Himachal Pradesh government has ordered the immediate release of the remaining 30% of gratuity and leave encashment for former Class-IV employees who retired or died in harness between January 1, 2016, and January 31, 2022.
Details of the Order
According to a government press statement, the state government has already paid four instalments of interim relief and 12 instalments of dearness allowance on basic pension and basic family pension during the period. The newly released amount will be adjusted against pension or family pension arrears.
Implementation
The pension disbursing authorities have been instructed to ensure that after the release of this amount, the gratuity and leave encashment arrears for these Class-IV employees are brought to zero.
This move is expected to benefit a large number of retired and deceased employees' families, providing them with financial relief. The government has emphasized the need for swift processing to ensure timely disbursement.
