Kuwait Property Owners Get Instant Alerts on Lease Registrations

Property owners in Kuwait will now receive immediate notifications whenever a lease is registered against their property. The Public Authority for Civil Information has rolled out a new digital service to strengthen oversight and safeguard ownership rights.

New Service Launched Through Sahel App

The Public Authority for Civil Information announced the launch of its Residence Notification service via the unified government application Sahel. This move represents another significant step in Kuwait's journey toward integrated digital government services.

The service provides property owners with real-time alerts about new rental contracts registered against their properties. This gives owners instant visibility into tenancy records and residency registrations.

Verifying Legitimate Lease Registrations

According to PACI, the service helps owners verify whether a lease registration is legitimate, accurate, and authorized. If a property owner receives a notification for a contract they did not approve or recognize, they can take prompt action to address the situation.

In such cases, owners can cancel the associated residency directly through the Sahel application using the Cancel Residents service. PACI has also referred to this as the Remote Residents service. Alternatively, property owners may visit PACI's headquarters in person to complete the necessary procedures.

Enhancing Monitoring and Preventing Misuse

The authority stated that the new service enhances monitoring of rental contracts across Kuwait. It plays a crucial role in preventing the misuse of residential addresses.

By ensuring that residency information tied to properties is current and accurate, PACI aims to reduce unauthorized registrations. This initiative also improves the reliability of national civil data.

Part of Broader Digital Transformation

PACI explained that the introduction of the Residence Notification service is part of its broader efforts to digitize public services. The authority is working to improve data accuracy and strengthen coordination between government entities.

Officials noted that this initiative supports the government's wider strategy to build integrated digital platforms. These platforms improve efficiency, transparency, and overall user experience for both citizens and residents.
