The Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) kicked off a crucial two-day workshop this Friday, assembling key stakeholders from across the country's metro landscape.

The Rolling Stock Working Group Workshop saw participation from a wide spectrum of experts. Representatives from 13 different metro rail systems from various Indian cities joined officials from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The gathering also included a key representative from I-Metros, the association that encompasses all Indian Metro Rail companies, underscoring the event's national importance.

The workshop was formally inaugurated by M P Ramnavas, the Director (Projects) at KMRL. The core agenda was squarely focused on tackling pressing operations and maintenance challenges related to rolling stock—the trains and carriages that form the backbone of any metro system.
