Kejriwal's Vision: 10-Point Roadmap to Transform Delhi into a 'Viksit Delhi' by 2047
Kejriwal Unveils 10-Point 'Viksit Delhi' Roadmap for 2047

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has laid out an ambitious and detailed blueprint to transform the national capital into a fully developed, world-class metropolis. The vision, named 'Viksit Delhi', aims to be realized by the year 2047, coinciding with India's 100th year of independence.

A Comprehensive 10-Point Action Plan for the Capital

During a high-level review meeting with senior officials, CM Kejriwal presented a ten-point roadmap that covers every critical aspect of urban development. The plan is designed to address both immediate civic needs and long-term strategic growth. The Chief Minister emphasized that the goal is to make Delhi a city that rivals global capitals in terms of quality of life, infrastructure, and governance.

The first pillar of the plan focuses on revolutionizing road infrastructure and traffic management. Kejriwal directed officials to ensure that all roads in Delhi are of impeccable quality, free from potholes and well-maintained. A major component of this is the aggressive decongestion of 77 chronic traffic bottlenecks across the city. The Public Works Department (PWD) has been tasked with this crucial mission.

Transforming Public Services and Urban Aesthetics

The second major focus area is the enhancement of public utility corridors. The CM issued clear instructions to remove all overhead wires and cables, relocating them underground. This initiative is not just about aesthetics; it is a critical safety and reliability upgrade for the city's power and communication networks.

Furthermore, Kejriwal stressed the importance of flawless basic services. He mandated a zero-tolerance policy towards waterlogging during the monsoon season. The plan also includes the installation of functional street lights on every road, ensuring safety and security for all citizens during night hours.

The government will also undertake a massive beautification drive, covering all major roads, junctions, and government buildings. This includes systematic landscaping, painting, and overall aesthetic enhancement to uplift the city's visual appeal and civic pride.

Solidifying Foundations in Education, Health, and Citizen Experience

The 'Viksit Delhi' vision deeply entrenches the Aam Aadmi Party's flagship governance models. Kejriwal ordered the strengthening of the now-famous Mohalla Clinic and Delhi government school systems, ensuring they remain best-in-class models for public health and education nationwide.

A significant push will be made towards improving last-mile connectivity. The plan involves integrating various modes of public transport to create a seamless commuting experience for Delhi's residents. Ease of living is a central theme, with directives to make all government services faceless, paperless, and cashless, minimizing human interaction and potential corruption.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the need for a robust mechanism for citizen grievance redressal. The system must be efficient, responsive, and capable of resolving public complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner, fostering trust between the government and the people.

To ensure relentless execution, Arvind Kejriwal announced that he will personally chair monthly review meetings to monitor the progress of each point in the 'Viksit Delhi' roadmap. This top-level oversight underscores the political and administrative priority being given to this transformative agenda. The ultimate objective is to craft a Delhi that is not only developed in infrastructure but also excels in human development indices, setting a benchmark for urban centers across India and the world.
