Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta declared the government's firm commitment to skilling the city's youth on Thursday. She spoke at the 'Samarth Bharat-Vichar Goshti' program, which the Bhaorao Deoras Seva Nyas organized at the NDMC Convention Centre in New Delhi.
Building a Strong India Through Skilled Youth
Rekha Gupta stressed that a skilled younger generation is essential for constructing a robust India. She called the vision of a 'Viksit Bharat' a shared responsibility for every citizen. The Chief Minister highlighted India's population of 140 crore as its greatest strength.
"If we connect this strength with proper skills and opportunities, many national challenges can resolve themselves naturally," Gupta asserted during her address.
New Initiatives for Skill Development
The Delhi government is continuously launching fresh initiatives to link youth with skill development programs. Gupta revealed these efforts aim to provide practical training and enhance employability.
Special attention is being given to children involved in juvenile offences. The government is developing dedicated centres for them. At these centres, skill training will become a mandatory component of their rehabilitation.
This focus on vocational education seeks to transform young lives and contribute to the broader goal of national progress.
