Congress Demands Pradhan's Resignation Over NEET Leak

Jaipur: The Congress party on Sunday demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in connection with the NEET paper leak. Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of compromising the integrity of the National Testing Agency (NTA), state Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra alleged serious irregularities in the NEET examinations conducted between 2024 and 2026. He claimed that the future of lakhs of students has been jeopardised due to repeated paper leaks.

Demand for Independent Probe

Dotasra reiterated the party's demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe or an investigation monitored by a Supreme Court judge. Quoting Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, he stated that the absence of an independent inquiry would strengthen suspicions that the alleged scam took place under government protection. The Congress leader emphasised that only a transparent investigation can restore the faith of students and the public in the examination system.

Gehlot Targets Government

Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also targeted the central government, claiming that NEET papers have been leaking continuously over the past few years. He asserted that public anger over the issue is growing and that the government must take immediate responsibility. Gehlot called for decisive action to prevent future leaks and ensure justice for affected students.
