Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday issued a tough warning to Pakistan, cautioning against any further misadventure across the Line of Control. Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, Singh asserted that India's armed forces are fully prepared to respond decisively to any provocation. He emphasized that the Indian military is capable of protecting the nation's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
India's Stance on Cross-Border Terrorism
Singh reiterated India's zero-tolerance policy towards cross-border terrorism, stating that Pakistan must cease its support for terror groups operating from its soil. He highlighted that the government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a strong stance against terrorism, and any attempt to destabilize India will be met with an appropriate response. The Defence Minister also noted that India has always advocated for peace but will not hesitate to act if its security is threatened.
Call for Peace and Regional Stability
While delivering the warning, Singh also urged Pakistan to abandon its hostile policies and instead focus on fostering peace and cooperation in the region. He stressed that the people of both countries deserve to live in harmony and that dialogue is the only viable path to resolve differences. The Minister added that India remains open to constructive engagement with Pakistan, provided it takes concrete steps to curb terrorism and create a conducive atmosphere for talks.
