Tourist Couple Injured in Himachal Pradesh After Boulder Strikes Taxi Near Keylong
A tourist couple sustained injuries after a large boulder struck the taxi they were traveling in near Keylong in Himachal Pradesh's Lahaul-Spiti district on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred around 1:30 PM, causing significant damage to the vehicle and injuring the passengers.

The injured individuals have been identified as Manojit Singh Roy and his wife, Paulini Singha. According to police reports, the boulder hit the rear passenger side of the taxi, directly impacting the area where the couple was seated. Both victims were promptly taken to the Regional Hospital in Keylong for medical treatment. Their current condition and the extent of their injuries are being monitored by hospital authorities.
Driver Escapes Unharmed and Police Investigation
The driver of the taxi, Deepak Tamang, fortunately escaped unhurt in the incident. Police officials stated that the boulder fall was sudden and unexpected, leading to the accident.
