Ayodhya's Ramkatha Park to Get Modern 34-Room Tourist Guest House

In a significant boost to tourism infrastructure, Ramkatha Park in Ayodhya is set to receive a state-of-the-art tourist guest house featuring 34 rooms. This development aims to enhance stay facilities for the increasing influx of pilgrims visiting the sacred temple town, ensuring a warm welcome in line with the traditional Indian ethos of "Atithi Devo Bhava" (the guest is god).

Project Details and Construction Oversight

The upcoming facility will be constructed as a G+3 building, designed to modernize and expand tourism amenities within Ramkatha Park. The total estimated cost for this project is Rs 24.21 crore. Construction is being supervised by UP Projects Corporation Limited, Construction Unit-11, Ayodhya, with execution under the PPE system assigned to a private company to ensure timely and efficient completion.

Addressing Rising Pilgrim Numbers

Officials have linked this project to the broader development push in Ayodhya, noting a significant surge in visitor numbers following the consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple. The expansion of accommodation facilities has become essential to meet growing demand, particularly catering to middle-class pilgrims seeking affordable and comfortable stay options. Project manager Manoj Kumar Sharma of UP Projects Corporation Limited emphasized that once operational, guests staying at Ramkatha Park will enjoy convenient access to key sites like the Ram Temple, Saryu ghats, and other nearby attractions.

Modern Amenities and Features

The new guest house will be equipped with a range of modern amenities to ensure a pleasant stay for pilgrims. Key features include:

  • 34 well-appointed rooms with attached bathrooms
  • Air-conditioned accommodations for comfort
  • A fully functional kitchen and restaurant
  • Reception lobby and lift facilities
  • Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the premises
  • Comprehensive security systems for safety

This initiative reflects a strategic effort to bolster Ayodhya's tourism infrastructure, supporting the city's growth as a premier pilgrimage destination while honoring its cultural and spiritual significance.
