Happy Streets 2026 Kicks Off in Bellandur: A Vibrant New Year's Community Event
Happy Streets Debuts in Bellandur This Sunday

The much-loved community initiative, Happy Streets by The Times of India, is set to make its exciting debut in the Bellandur area of Bengaluru, ushering in the New Year with a burst of energy and togetherness. The first edition of 2026 is scheduled for this Sunday, transforming a section of Doddakannelli Main Road near the back gate of Adarsh Palm Retreat into a vibrant, vehicle-free zone from the early morning hours.

A Morning Curated for Wellness and Celebration

Designed to foster community spirit, the event invites all residents to begin the year on a positive and healthy note. The on-stage programming offers a meticulously planned blend of activities focused on mindfulness, movement, and pure entertainment. The morning's serenity will be established with a calming meditation session by Heartfulness, followed by yoga and pranayama led by Sarvebhavanthu Sukhinah Yoga.

Following this, the tempo will rise dramatically with an energetic Zumba session conducted by Swingers Dance Inc, guaranteed to get everyone's heart pumping. Adding an element of interactive fun, the presenting partner, Bhima Jewellers, will host a lively crowd quiz with exciting giveaways for participants.

Spotlight on Music and Dance Performances

The cultural fabric of the event will be rich with performances. Music enthusiasts can look forward to a vibrant set by Mic & Melody, while aspiring vocalists have the unique opportunity to participate in training sessions conducted by From Mug to Mic.

Dance will undoubtedly take centre stage, with three distinct performances scheduled:

  • Satvas Dance Company
  • Point Pattern Dance Academy
  • Dream Dance DFC

These groups are set to showcase a dynamic range of styles and expressions, adding incredible colour, rhythm, and visual spectacle to the Happy Streets experience.

A Community-Centric Start to 2026

The debut of Happy Streets in Bellandur marks a significant expansion of this popular initiative, bringing its unique formula of free, accessible, and engaging programming to a new part of the city. By temporarily reclaiming the road for people, the event creates a rare shared space for families, fitness enthusiasts, and art lovers to connect and celebrate the fresh start that a new year represents. It emphasizes a lifestyle that prioritizes health, happiness, and community interaction over the usual hustle of city life.

This Sunday's event is more than just a gathering; it's an invitation to actively participate in shaping a joyful and connected community spirit for Bengaluru as we step into 2026.
