Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh emphasized that the temple is an integral part of Lucknow's identity, with beliefs linking it to the Ramayana period and Lord Ram's brother, Lakshman. Situated on the serene banks of the Gomti River, the temple is historically associated with the ashram of sage Kaundinya, adding to its mythological significance.
