The historic campus of Prabhat Tara School in Patna recently witnessed a momentous gathering as its former students came together to formally establish their alumni network. The Prabhat Tara School Alumni Association successfully concluded its first official alumni meet, a two-day event filled with nostalgia, camaraderie, and official proceedings.
New Leadership Takes Charge
The cornerstone of the meet was the formation and election of the association's first executive body. In a smooth electoral process, Shashank Shekhar was elected unopposed as the founding President. He will be supported by a team of dedicated alumni in key roles.
Abhishek Kumar was elected as the Treasurer, entrusted with managing the association's finances. Bina Singh took on the responsibility of Vice-President, while Fanish Singh was appointed Secretary. Anjali Sinha will serve as the Joint Secretary.
Further strengthening the executive committee, four members were elected to the panel: Archana Capoor, Poonam Singh, Niteen, and Parimal Kumar Sharma. This team is now tasked with steering the association's future activities and fostering a strong network among graduates.
A Celebration of Memories and Talent
The reunion was far more than just a formal meeting. The two-day schedule was packed with heartfelt programmes curated and presented by the alumni themselves, rekindling old memories and school-day spirit. The atmosphere was electric with shared stories and renewed friendships.
The first day's events culminated on a spectacular high note with a soulful evening concert performed by renowned singer Priya Mallick. Her performance added a layer of cultural celebration to the nostalgic gathering, leaving the attendees enthralled and setting a joyful tone for the association's beginnings.
Laying the Foundation for the Future
The successful conclusion of this inaugural meet marks a significant milestone for the Prabhat Tara School community. The establishment of a formal alumni association creates a structured platform for former students to connect, collaborate, and contribute back to their alma mater.
With a democratically elected leadership now in place, the association is poised to plan future reunions, mentorship programmes for current students, and potentially other initiatives that leverage the collective strength and experience of its members. This event in Patna has effectively sown the seeds for a vibrant and enduring alumni network.
