A Platform for Cultural Connection and Heritage

Chief Minister Gupta emphasized that the annual Odisha Parv, organized since 2017, has evolved into a crucial cultural platform for the Odia community residing in Delhi. She noted that the festival enables people to maintain strong ties with their roots while proudly showcasing the state's cultural legacy in the national capital. The Delhi government, she assured, remains committed to addressing the community's needs, ensuring their safety and welfare through attentive governance. In a personal reflection, Gupta shared her visit to the Jagannath Temple after assuming office to seek blessings from Lord Jagannath, and her participation in the Jagannath Rath Yatra in Delhi, including the traditional Chhera Pahara ritual.

She also announced that the Delhi government celebrated Utkal Divas at an official level for the first time, honoring the contributions of the Odia community to the capital.

Looking ahead, the Chief Minister expressed optimism about Odisha's development trajectory, citing renewed momentum under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre and a new state government. She confidently predicted that this progress would usher in prosperity for the people of Odisha, reinforcing the festival's theme of cultural pride and national unity.
