Kinnar Akhara Expands Leadership in Prayagraj

The Kinnar Akhara is growing its presence from the holy grounds of Tirthraj Prayagraj. On Friday, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Prof Swami Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi Maharaj led a significant ceremony. He consecrated twenty-one kanthi chelas, eleven mahants, six shri mahants, and seven mahamandaleshwars. These individuals hail from various states across India.

New Leadership Appointments Announced

During the event, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Devanshi from Odisha received a key role. He was appointed as the president of the Vaishnava Akhara. This move strengthens the akhara's organizational structure.

Focus on Spiritual Duties

Acharya Tripathi issued a clear directive to all office-bearers. He cautioned them against creating reels or short videos. Instead, he urged them to concentrate on promoting and spreading Sanatan Dharma. This focus aims to ensure their spiritual purpose is fully achieved.

State-Level Positions Detailed

The Kinnar Akhara also filled several important state positions. In Uttar Pradesh, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kalyaninanda Giri will serve as president. Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kankeshwari Nand Giri of Gorakhpur takes on the role of secretary.

For Jharkhand, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Rajeshwari Nand Giri, known as Roz Mausi, has been appointed president. Mahamandaleshwar Swami Amarjeet Nand Giri will act as secretary in that state.

New Mahamandaleshwars Named

Seven individuals were elevated to the position of mahamandaleshwar. The list includes Paronand Giri from Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh and Nehanand Giri from Maharashtra. Others are Devanshi Nand Giri, also called Raksha Nand Giri, from Odisha, and Amarjeet Nand Giri from Ranchi. Shalunand Giri from Delhi and Sakshinanda Giri from Jabalpur complete the group.

Disciples and Abbots Honored

The ceremony recognized twenty-one people as kanthi chelas. Notable names among them are Radhikanand Giri, Kinjal, Kamakshi Nand Giri, Sunil Nand Giri, and Shubham Nand Giri. Additionally, eleven individuals received appointments as mahants, or abbots.

Religious Ceremonies Conducted

Prior to the appointments, the acharyas performed various religious rites at the Sangam. These ceremonies included pind daan and virja daan for all the new office-bearers. Such rituals are integral to spiritual initiation and blessing.

The expansion of the Kinnar Akhara reflects its ongoing commitment to spiritual growth and community leadership. These appointments aim to strengthen its mission across different regions of India.
