Shimla: Governor Kavinder Gupta on Monday emphasized that Indian culture forms the foundation of the nation and highlighted the need to connect younger generations with the country's rich heritage, traditions, and moral values.
Governor Addresses Cultural Ceremony
Addressing the Bharatiya Sanskriti Gyan Pariksha prize distribution ceremony organized by the All World Gayatri Pariwar in Shimla, the governor said India's ancient scriptures and knowledge traditions continue to offer valuable guidance in building a responsible and value-based society. He stressed that while modern education is essential, cultural education is equally important for nurturing responsible citizens and dedicated nation-builders.
Role of Teachers and Parents

Referring to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the governor said the goal could be achieved through a youth population equipped with knowledge, skills, values, and a strong sense of national commitment. He urged students to uphold truth, discipline, service, and integrity while contributing positively to society and nation-building.
The event saw participation from students, educators, and community leaders who shared the governor's vision of integrating cultural education into the mainstream curriculum. The All World Gayatri Pariwar, known for its spiritual and social initiatives, organized the examination to promote awareness of India's cultural heritage among the youth.
Governor Gupta concluded by calling upon every citizen to take pride in India's cultural legacy and work collectively towards a prosperous and harmonious society under the Viksit Bharat 2047 initiative.
