On the auspicious occasion of Ganga Saptami, a grand religious ceremony was organized in the early morning hours at the ghat of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, known as Lalita Ghat. The event was conducted in strict accordance with Vedic traditions, with utmost devotion and reverence.
Formal Worship and Vedic Chanting
The temple trust arranged a formal worship and prayer session dedicated to Maa Ganga, following scriptural rites. The ceremony was graced by the presence of respected priests, learned shastris, and numerous devotees. It commenced with Vedic chanting and formal worship under the guidance of Acharyas.
Abhishek and Offerings
Subsequently, the abhishek of Maa Ganga was performed as per scriptural methods. Devout worship included offerings of Gangajal, milk, flowers, and various puja materials. The entire atmosphere was suffused with Vedic sounds and devotional spirit, providing a profound spiritual experience to all attendees.
Worship of the Idol
Following the abhishek ritual, the idol of Maa Ganga installed within the temple complex at the Dham was formally worshipped, and aarti was performed. This added to the sanctity of the occasion.
