Gadkari Highlights Vedic Heritage as Global Guide Amid Rising Conflicts

In Nagpur, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari emphasized on Sunday that ancient Indian culture, values, and philosophy can act as a guiding light for the world, particularly in the face of increasing global conflicts and divisive tendencies. He made these remarks during the inauguration of a Vedic Pathshala established by the Soham Foundation in Ghogali.

Reviving Vedic Knowledge for Modern Challenges

Gadkari stressed the urgent need to revive India's Vedic heritage, noting that the knowledge contained in the four Vedas—Rigveda, Samaveda, Yajurveda, and Atharvaveda—forms the foundational bedrock of Indian thought, ethics, and one of the world's oldest literary traditions. He explained that this ancient wisdom is not merely historical but holds profound relevance for contemporary global issues.

Our culture speaks not just of individual or family welfare, but of the welfare of the entire world, Gadkari said, highlighting the inclusive and holistic philosophy inherent in Sanatan Dharma. He pointed out that this approach contrasts sharply with the self-centered ideologies often seen in today's fractured international landscape.

Indian Values as an Alternative to Global Unrest

Referring to the widespread unrest and destructive tendencies visible across nations, Gadkari argued that India's civilizational values, rooted in harmony and coexistence, offer a meaningful and sustainable alternative. He cited Swami Vivekananda's iconic Chicago address as a prime example of India's pluralistic ethos, which respects all faiths and beliefs, promoting unity over division.

At a time when the world is grappling with polarization and conflict, India's ancient teachings provide a path toward peace and mutual respect, he added, urging a global embrace of these principles to foster a more cooperative international community.
