Delhi Leaders Hail Kite Festival as Cultural Unifier, Plan Major Expansion

CM Gupta Highlights Festival's Community Spirit
Speaking directly to reporters, the Chief Minister shared her thoughts. "Delhi is the capital of festivals," Gupta stated clearly. "Today, thousands of people will gather in Bansera park for the kite festival and enjoy the celebrations."
She expressed specific gratitude toward Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. Gupta acknowledged his role in initiating this kite festival three years ago. Since that beginning, thousands of Delhi residents have participated annually.

Lieutenant Governor Promises Grander Future Editions
Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena made significant promises about the festival's future. He assured everyone that the next Kite Festival would be very grand. Saxena predicted people would come from every corner of the country.

Earlier in the day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the 3rd International Kite Festival. He delivered a strong message to the Delhi government and Delhi Development Authority.
Shah urged them to form a special committee. This committee would work to make Delhi the national hub for kite festivities. The Home Minister emphasized the need to expand the event significantly.
