In a significant community event, the district administration of Bhagalpur organized a comprehensive send-off ceremony on Thursday for 135 Haj pilgrims, which included a notable number of elderly men and women. The ceremony was held at Samiksha Bhawan within the district collectorate premises, marking a special occasion for the local Muslim community.

The program commenced with traditional dua-e-majlis rituals, providing spiritual blessings for the pilgrims embarking on their sacred journey. Following the religious ceremonies, experienced instructors conducted detailed training sessions and safety briefings specifically tailored for the Haj yatra. District Magistrate Nawal Kishor Chaudhary personally extended his heartfelt best wishes to all the pilgrims, emphasizing the administration's support for their spiritual endeavor. In a practical gesture, he distributed comprehensive travel kits containing essential items such as towels, attar bottles, sunglasses, and various other utilities designed to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey. Additionally, the DM honored the dedicated Haj instructors by presenting them with ceremonial garments and appreciation bouquets, recognizing their valuable contributions to the preparation process.

Social activist Syed Zeejah Hussain highlighted the historical importance of this event, noting that it was the first time such a send-off ceremony had been organized by the Bhagalpur district administration.
