A 27-year-old widow, identified as Madhubai, allegedly poisoned herself and her three young daughters late on Sunday night. This desperate act came roughly a month after she lost her husband.

The horrifying scene was discovered by a relative who heard sounds of distress from the family's room. Upon entering, he found Madhubai and her daughters—aged two, four, and seven years—all foaming at the mouth. Suspecting immediate poisoning, he rushed all four to a local hospital.
While the three young girls are now reported to be out of danger and receiving treatment at a government hospital in Bharatpur, their mother could not be saved. Madhubai succumbed while undergoing treatment at a Jaipur hospital on Monday, leaving her children orphaned.
