Frustrated by the inaction of local authorities, residents have formally lodged complaints with Dr. Ashish Tripathi, a veterinary doctor and welfare officer of the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation (GMC). They have detailed the clear and present dangers posed by aggressive stray dogs. Simultaneously, they have highlighted the issue of stray cattle, whose presence on roads leads to frequent and chaotic traffic snarls.
One resident pointed out a critical oversight, stating, "Apart from traffic jams, the littering caused by stray animals further pollutes the area and affects the well-being of nearby residents." The community's grievances have been repeatedly communicated through the official APP 311 Ghaziabad hotline, yet no concrete steps have been taken by the GMC to resolve these pressing issues.
Councillors Alerted as Situation Deteriorates
The matter has been escalated to higher levels within the civic administration. A resident, Sunil Vaid, wrote a detailed letter to the civic body, sending copies to the municipal commissioner and the local councillors: Kusum Goyal, Gaurav Solanki, and Neelam Bhardwaj, who represent wards 72, 76, and 77, respectively.
In his appeal, Vaid emphasized the urgency, noting that "The matter requires immediate attention as the current situation not only compromises public safety but significantly impacts the quality of life for the residents of the Vasundhara zone." His concerns were strongly echoed by another resident, Rajesh Kumar from Vasundhara, who called for strict and immediate action to control the stray dog population and clear the roads of cattle.

The consensus among the beleaguered residents is clear and urgent. They are braving a deteriorating public health and safety environment daily, with fears of dog attacks and the inconvenience of constant traffic disruptions becoming a norm. Rajesh Kumar summed up the community's sentiment, asserting, "Even as the issue deteriorates, residents demand swift intervention from the municipal corporation to restore order and safety to their streets."
