Law enforcement responded promptly after the video came to light. Assistant Commissioner of Police (Kavinagar) Suryabali Maurya confirmed the arrest of the accused cook. The incident was reported from the Vardhman Puram outpost area of Madhuban Bapudham police station on 08.01.2026.
"Upon viewing the video, it immediately appeared that the person was indeed spitting while making rotis," stated ACP Maurya. Acting on this evidence, the police took Javed Ansari, son of Chand (deceased), into custody. Ansari is a resident of the Muradnagar police station area. A formal case has been registered under relevant legal sections, and proceedings are underway.
Investigation Widens to Include Eatery Owner
The focus of the investigation has now expanded beyond the cook. The restaurant in question, identified as A1 Chicken Point, is owned by an individual named Waseem. Authorities are probing whether the owner was present at the time of the incident and are examining the shop's licenses and overall compliance.
In a significant step, the police have formally reported the matter to the food safety and health departments. "Reports have been sent for appropriate legal action against the eatery owner," added ACP Maurya. This move indicates a multi-departmental approach to address the violation.
