Over 2,000 Receive Free Health Services at District-Wide Chief Minister Health Fair
2,000+ Get Free Checkups at CM Health Fair

Thousands of residents across the district benefited from a major public health drive on Sunday. The Chief Minister Health Fair, a comprehensive medical outreach program, was successfully conducted simultaneously at all urban and rural primary health centres (PHCs).

Widespread Access to Essential Healthcare

The initiative proved to be a significant success, with over 2,000 people availing themselves of critical health services at no cost. The fair was designed to bridge the gap between communities and medical facilities by offering a wide array of services under one roof. Attendees received free health checkups, necessary medicines, specialist consultations, and vital health-related information.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Sandeep Chaudhary explained the core mission behind the event. He stated that the primary objective was to ensure that all primary health services are made conveniently accessible to people in both rural and urban areas at a single location. This approach eliminates the need for multiple visits to different facilities, saving time and resources for the public.

Special Focus on Eye Care

In addition to general health services, the fair placed special emphasis on vision care. Dedicated eye examination camps were organised at four specific urban primary health centres. At these camps, medical professionals conducted thorough examinations for various eye-related problems and provided expert consultations, addressing a key healthcare need in the community.

A Model for Future Health Outreach

The overwhelming response to the Chief Minister Health Fair highlights the strong public demand for accessible and affordable healthcare. By consolidating services like diagnostics, pharmacy, and specialist advice, the event serves as a model for efficient public health outreach. Such initiatives are crucial for early detection of ailments, promoting preventive care, and ultimately reducing the burden on tertiary healthcare hospitals. The successful execution across numerous PHCs demonstrates the potential for scaling similar programs to benefit even larger populations in the future.
