According to T Sakthivel, Sub-Inspector at Thevoor police station, the victim suffered a fatal electric shock during the procedure.
Eyewitnesses immediately alerted Sivashankar's 32-year-old brother, Chandramohan from Kumarapalayam, and contacted the fire and rescue services. Fire personnel arrived promptly at the scene and carefully retrieved the body from the transformer structure.
