Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has urged people to take precautions amid the ongoing severe heatwave across the state and to strictly follow the state government's advisory.
CM's Appeal for Public Safety
"Citizens should ensure all necessary precautions to protect themselves from the adverse effects of extreme heat," the chief minister said, advising children, elderly persons, pregnant women, and those with illnesses to take extra care.
Avoid Peak Sun Hours
He urged people to avoid stepping out unnecessarily during peak hours. "People should avoid going out in the sun between 12 noon and 3 pm unless absolutely necessary," he said.
Recognize Heatstroke Symptoms
Highlighting the risks of heatstroke, Sharma added, "In case of serious symptoms such as unconsciousness or high fever, immediate medical attention should be sought." He said people can visit the nearest health centre or contact emergency services on 108 or 112 for timely assistance.
Special Advice for Outdoor Workers
The chief minister also appealed to workers, farmers, and livestock rearers to remain cautious. "Those working outdoors must take special precautions to prevent heatstroke," he said.
Care for Animals and Birds
Urging compassion, he added, "People should also ensure that animals and birds have access to food and water during this extreme weather."
The state government continues to monitor the heatwave situation and has issued advisories for all districts. Citizens are encouraged to stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
