Rajanahalli Seer Hospitalized After Mild Cardiac Event in Raichur

Valmiki Prasannananda Puri Swamiji, the revered seer of the Rajanahalli Valmiki Gurupitha, suffered a mild heart attack on Wednesday during his visit to Raichur district in Karnataka. The incident occurred while he was traveling to Hutti to attend a scheduled event, where he reportedly complained of sudden chest pain.

Busy Schedule Preceded Health Emergency

Earlier that day, the Swamiji had maintained a full agenda of spiritual and community engagements. He visited Bandolli village near the Tintani bridge to personally inspect a proposed site for an educational institution affiliated with his mutt. Following this inspection, he held detailed discussions with local community leaders to advance the project.

Subsequently, the seer proceeded to the Kanakaguru Peetha, where he offered prayers at the samadhi of the late Sri Siddaramananda Puri Swamiji, paying homage to his spiritual predecessor. It was after these activities, while en route to Hutti, that he experienced the cardiac symptoms.

Immediate Medical Response and Transfer

From Hutti, the Swamiji was swiftly transported to a private cardiac care hospital in Raichur for urgent medical attention. After receiving preliminary treatment and stabilization at the facility, attending physicians recommended that he be moved to a hospital in Hyderabad for more advanced cardiac care and specialist intervention.

His transfer to Hyderabad was arranged promptly, where he is now under the supervision of a dedicated team of specialist doctors. Medical authorities and sources from the mutt have confirmed that his condition is currently stable, with no immediate cause for alarm.

Political and Community Support

The health scare attracted concern from prominent political figures. Minister NS Boseraju, MLAs Basanagouda Daddal and Dr. Shivaraj Patil, along with former MP BV Nayak and several other dignitaries, visited the hospital in Raichur. They consulted with the medical team to obtain updates on the seer's health and well-being.

Across the community, devotees and followers have been offering prayers and organizing religious ceremonies for the Swamiji's speedy and complete recovery. The incident has highlighted the deep respect and affection held for the spiritual leader within his congregation and beyond.
