Expert Opinion

Dr S. Sunil Pandey, a weather expert at CSA University, said that due to increased atmospheric moisture, strong winds, thunderclouds, and light rain or drizzle are likely during afternoon hours in the Kanpur division in the coming days. He added that temperatures are expected to rise gradually during the week, while humid and sultry conditions are also likely to intensify further, causing inconvenience to residents.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun during peak hours, and use air conditioning or fans to cope with the heat. The IMD will continue to monitor the situation and issue updates as necessary.
