Portraying the mother to Sahher Bambba's character Karishma Talvar, Kapoor admitted to being "scared" about the audience's reaction to the series' unfiltered and abusive dialogues.

In a revealing conversation with News18 Showsha, Gautami Kapoor shared that despite the show now breaking all records, her experience during filming was filled with doubt. "But when we were shooting for it, I was a little worried, scared, and apprehensive because the content was so explicit and out there," she stated. The actress elaborated on her concerns, wondering how the raw footage would be translated in the final edit. She recalled her on-set reaction, saying, "When I was filming the scenes, I was like, 'What the hell is this?' It was one crazy ride."

Aryan Khan's Unwavering Vision

Kapoor highlighted that the show's creator and director, Aryan Khan, son of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, was resolute in his creative choices. She revealed that the young filmmaker was firm about maintaining the explicit nature of the content as part of his authentic vision. "I was worried as to how everyone around me is going to react to the series. But it has been received fantastically well. Both Aryan and the script were just phenomenal!" she exclaimed, expressing her relief at the positive reception.

The Director Ready for Backlash

Further into the interview, Gautami Kapoor praised Aryan Khan's maturity and preparedness for potential criticism. She disclosed that the debutant director was mentally braced for any flak that could come his way for pushing boundaries. "Aryan was well-prepared for the flak he could've received for the show," she said. Admiring his mindset, she added, "But being the person that he is, he didn't really bother. He doesn't bother about comments and negativity. He's so young, but he's far above all that. I salute him for that because it's not easy being Aryan Khan."
