Surya: Power of Love begins by presenting two starkly different characters. Dr. Mamtha, played by Shruthi, is a calm and caring gynaecologist. Her life focuses on healing and maintaining balance. On the opposite end stands Layout Maari, portrayed by Ravi Shankar. He is a feared gangster running a human trafficking network targeting young girls. These opposing worlds set the stage for the entire story.

Between these extremes exists Surya, an orphaned college student. Prashanth Surya brings this character to life. Surya excels in his studies while working multiple jobs as a waiter and auto driver to support himself. His personal life includes a romantic relationship with Bhoomi, played by Harshitha MK. Their love story experiences separation and eventual reunion. The film's heart lies in how these interconnected lives propel the narrative forward. An ordinary college boy finds himself daring to challenge a powerful criminal world.

Pramod Shetty's character Vanda Basu undergoes a pleasant transformation from money-minded to quietly compassionate. TS Nagabharana adds credibility as the Police Commissioner. Bala Rajwad serves as a moral guide to Surya, providing emotional depth. Lead actors Prasath Surya and Harshitha make sincere efforts in their roles.
Technical Aspects and Overall Experience
On the technical front, the film makes a decent attempt. Cinematography, action sequences, and visuals are handled competently. The background score supports the narrative effectively. However, the songs fail to leave a lasting impression. They feel forgettable. The screenplay remains uneven. While surprise moments work well, predictable stretches and pacing issues dilute the overall impact.

As a debut directorial effort by Sagar, Surya: Power of Love shows clear intent and ambition. It blends action, romance, and social themes.
