Tamil superstar Suriya is all set to enthrall audiences with his upcoming action-fantasy drama 'Karuppu', directed by RJ Balaji and co-starring Trisha Krishnan. With only eight days remaining for its grand release, the makers have unveiled a brand new poster that has created a buzz among fans.
Suriya's New Look in 'Karuppu' Poster
In the latest poster, Suriya is seen in a lawyer's avatar, appearing serious and powerful. This fresh look has piqued curiosity about the film. The makers accompanied the poster with a caption that read, "EIGHT days to go before the fire awakens #Karuppu #VeeraBhadrudu in theatres worldwide from 14th May 2026."
Fans React to the Poster
Soon after the poster's release, fans flooded the comment section with fire and heart emojis. Many also inquired about the trailer release date, eagerly awaiting a bigger update from the team. One fan wrote, "Aiyaaaa saaamy trailer ha release panunga paaaaaaaaaaa," while another added, "We Want Just A Trailer, Plzzzz." The excitement for the film has been building for months, especially after the teaser was released on Suriya's birthday last year.
'Karuppu' Teaser
The teaser introduced Suriya in dual roles. One character, a lawyer named Saravanan, is dressed in white and speaks calmly. However, the teaser hints at another dangerous side, with a second character appearing in black clothes and carrying an aruval, looking more violent and fearless. The teaser also surprised fans with a subtle reference to the famous "Oru Maalai" moment from 'Ghajini'.
Earlier, the makers unveiled Trisha Krishnan's character as "Preethi." The film also features Indrans, Natty, Swasika, Sshivadha, Anagha Maya Ravi, and Supreeth Reddy in key roles. Music is composed by Sai Abhyankkar. 'Karuppu' will be released in multiple languages.
