Sivakarthikeyan confirms Basil Joseph cameo in 'Parasakthi'

In an exciting update for fans, popular actor Sivakarthikeyan has officially confirmed a special cameo appearance in his upcoming Tamil film 'Parasakthi'. During the movie's promotional events in Kerala, Sivakarthikeyan revealed that his good friend, actor-director Basil Joseph, will be seen in a cameo role.

Confirmed Cameo and Fun Shoot Memories

Sivakarthikeyan shared this news only after confirming it with the film's director, Sudha Kongara. The makers had previously hinted at several surprise cameos, building anticipation among the audience. Speaking about his experience working with Basil Joseph, Sivakarthikeyan fondly recalled that he spent the most time with him during the shoot in Sri Lanka.

"I got to spend the most time with him on this shoot. I met everyone else too but he stayed for three days in Sri Lanka even after finishing his scenes, so it was really fun," Sivakarthikeyan said, highlighting their off-screen bond.

Sivakarthikeyan's Nod to Malayalam Cinema

Adding to the excitement, Sivakarthikeyan surprised the audience at the Kerala event by delivering a famous dialogue from the iconic Malayalam film 'Thudarum', starring Mohanlal. He recited the powerful line: "Go and tell your people that the lone warrior has entered the forest again."

He admitted that 'Thudarum' was the last Malayalam film he watched and that he loved it. "When I first watched the film I didn't understand the dialogue but still clapped for it. Later I realized its depth and impact," Sivakarthikeyan confessed, showing his appreciation for the craft.

All About 'Parasakthi' and Its Significance

'Parasakthi' is a highly anticipated film directed by National Award-winner Sudha Kongara. The movie's narrative is based on the historical anti-Hindi agitations of the 1960s in Tamil Nadu. The ensemble cast features Sivakarthikeyan in the lead, alongside Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela in pivotal roles.

This film is expected to mark a significant comeback for Sivakarthikeyan after his previous release, 'Madharaasi', which did not meet box office expectations despite his praised performance. With the postponement of another major release, 'Jana Nayagan', 'Parasakthi' is poised to get a strong opening at the box office.

The industry and fans alike are eagerly waiting to see Sivakarthikeyan in this period drama, which promises to blend a powerful historical subject with compelling storytelling.
