Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu and acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli are collaborating on an ambitious time-traveling adventure thriller titled 'Varanasi'. According to reports from 123Telugu, the 'Varanasi' team is preparing to shoot continuously for an entire month to capture one of the most spectacular action episodes featuring Mahesh Babu. SS Rajamouli, renowned for his grand sets, is set to create breathtaking stunts, large-scale sets, and intense action choreography. This sequence is described as the biggest action spectacle of the film, showcasing high ambition and cinematic excellence.
Dance Sequence in 'Varanasi'
As per a report by Telugu Chitraalu, the team has recently been shooting a song sequence on a massive set constructed in Katedan, Hyderabad. Mahesh Babu has been filming there for several days. The song is more than just a dance number; it is an integral part of the narrative that helps propel the plot forward. Additionally, it is suggested that the makers aim to complete the entire shoot by the end of August 2026.
About 'Varanasi'
In 'Varanasi', Mahesh Babu portrays Rudra, a rugged adventurer and time traveler. The actor is also expected to appear as Lord Rama in a special episode. Priyanka Chopra Jonas plays Mandakini, while Prithviraj Sukumaran is set to portray the main antagonist, Kumbha. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 7, 2027.
