A cultural evening titled Chirabandan Gane paid tribute to the rich musical heritage of Rabindranath Tagore through a thoughtfully curated programme featuring celebrated Rabindra Sangeet artistes Sayantani Gupta and Suranjan Roy.

First Half: Sayantani Gupta's Solo Performance

The event opened with a solo performance by Sayantani Gupta, who presented songs from 12 of Tagore's renowned plays, including Tasher Desh, Dakghar, Shapmochan, and Chirakumar Sabha. Her renditions highlighted the depth and beauty of Tagore's dramatic compositions and received warm appreciation from the audience. The concluding songs of her segment were accompanied by performances by the Urmila Dance Troupe.

Second Half: Suranjan Roy's Solo Recital

The second half featured an acclaimed solo recital by Suranjan Roy, a Rabindra Sangeet singer and son of legendary singer Subinoy Roy. His performance captivated the audience with its emotional depth and technical mastery, further enriching the evening's tribute to Tagore's musical legacy.
