120 Bahadur OTT Release on Amazon Prime Video Jan 16

The historical war drama '120 Bahadur', which saw a modest run in cinemas, is now preparing for a second life on digital platforms. Starring Farhan Akhtar, the film is scheduled for its online streaming debut shortly, aiming to connect with a broader audience that missed it in theaters.

Digital Premiere Details and Platform

According to reports, '120 Bahadur' will begin streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video from January 16, 2026. This digital release comes approximately two months after its theatrical launch on November 21, 2025. The timing is strategic, coinciding with the Republic Day period, which often sees heightened interest in patriotic content.

Box Office Performance Analysis

Despite being one of the discussed films of 2025, '120 Bahadur' struggled to draw significant crowds to cinemas. The box office collections were underwhelming. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the film garnered roughly Rs 17.85 crore net in India over its first two weeks. Its total domestic gross reached about Rs 21.60 crore.

Adding overseas earnings of around Rs 2.00 crore, the worldwide collection stood at approximately Rs 23.60 crore, resulting in a total theatrical haul close to Rs 20 crore. This performance fell short of expectations for a film with its scale and star power.

Cast, Crew, and Critical Reception

Directed by Razneesh Ghai, '120 Bahadur' features Farhan Akhtar in a pivotal role, supported by actors Raashi Khanna, Vivan Bhatena, and Ankit Siwach. A review from ETimes noted that Akhtar delivered a performance with "rugged intensity," altering his voice and body language for a dramatic zone unfamiliar to him. However, the critique mentioned that the role did not always feel entirely natural for the actor.

The review also pointed out that the supporting cast, including Eijaz Khan and Sparsh Walia, had promise but were given limited material to work with. Furthermore, the film was reportedly hampered by editing issues and a flat musical score, which affected its overall impact.

With its move to Amazon Prime Video, '120 Bahadur' seeks a fresh start. The OTT release is anticipated to provide the film with the wider viewership it initially aimed for, allowing audiences to judge the historical drama from the comfort of their homes.
