Reality TV star and social media influencer Uorfi Javed found herself in a deeply distressing situation in the early hours of Monday, leading her to file a formal complaint at a Mumbai police station. The incident, which she described as the scariest of her life, involved unknown men harassing her at her residence.
A Terrifying Late-Night Ordeal
Uorfi Javed took to her Instagram Stories to share images from the police station, sparking concern among her followers. In an exclusive conversation, she revealed the chilling details of what transpired around 3:30 am at her home. She was present with her sisters, Dolly and Asfi, when the unsettling episode began.
"Someone kept ringing my doorbell persistently for about 10 minutes," Uorfi recounted. "When I went out to check, a man was standing outside demanding that I open the door and insisting on being let in. Another man was standing at the corner." She stated that she asked the individual to stop and leave, but he refused. It was only when she threatened to call the police that the men finally departed.
Allegations of Intimidation and Evidence Tampering
The situation, however, did not end there. Uorfi alleged that the men involved were residents of the 13th floor of her building. She claimed they boasted of political connections and acted with a sense of impunity. "These men claimed they were politically connected and behaved as if they could do anything," she said.
Even after the police arrived on her call, the confrontation allegedly continued. "They misbehaved with us and with the police. They were rude and kept saying 'nikal nikal'. They denied everything," Uorfi added. She further made a serious claim about an attempt to interfere with the investigation. "When we were leaving for the police station, we heard them asking the security guard to delete the CCTV footage, saying that they were related to a politician."
Seeking Safety and Official Action
Following the traumatic event, an NC (Non-Cognizable Complaint) has been registered with the police. Uorfi expressed that the experience has left her emotionally shaken and concerned for her safety. "When someone comes at 3 am and asks a girl to open the door and then refuses to leave, it is scary. Especially when girls are living alone, situations like this can be terrifying," she stated.
Taking additional steps, Uorfi has formally approached her housing society regarding the security lapse. "I have submitted a written complaint because I do not feel safe. I want to know what action will be taken against them," she asserted. The society committee is expected to hold a meeting to decide on the next course of action. For now, Uorfi and her sisters are awaiting further developments from both the police and the housing society.
