A five-day painting exhibition curated by students began in Lucknow on Tuesday, presenting a diverse collection of artworks that blend artistic expression with reflections on contemporary concerns.
Exhibition Highlights
Organized by artist Meenakshi Shravani, the exhibition displays approximately 65 paintings created by her students. The themes range from nature and devotion to spirituality and pressing social issues.
Artistic Expressions
Participant Neha Singh presented a painting of Buddha in a meditative posture. She explained, "Through my work, I aimed to convey peace and spirituality." Another student, Priyanshi, depicted Radha and Krishna in her artwork. "I portrayed Krishna playing the flute while Radha watches him," she shared.
A particularly striking piece by student Kanak focused on the stress caused by social media among teenagers. The painting shows a child in distress after not receiving enough likes, highlighting the mental health challenges in the digital age.
Curator's Perspective
Meenakshi Shravani remarked that the exhibition is a testament to the students' creativity and imagination. She emphasized how each artwork reflects the unique perspective of its creator.
The exhibition is open to the public until May 23, from 11 am to 6 pm daily. Attendees can explore the artworks and engage with the young artists' interpretations of the world around them.
