Priyanka Chahar Choudhary Hits Back at Trolls Over Cosmetic Surgery Rumours
Priyanka Choudhary Slams Trolls on Appearance Comments

Television star and Bigg Boss 19 winner Priyanka Chahar Choudhary is gearing up for her major return to fiction with the supernatural series Naagin 7. However, the excitement surrounding her new project has been shadowed by persistent online speculation about her undergoing cosmetic procedures. In an exclusive chat, the actress has finally broken her silence, offering a detailed explanation and delivering a powerful message against body-shaming trolls.

The Truth Behind the Changed Appearance

Addressing the rumours head-on, Priyanka revealed that her altered appearance last year was due to a serious health issue, not cosmetic surgery. She explained that she was on heavy medication throughout the previous year. "I was on medication throughout last year and was given very heavy doses of antibiotics, but most people don’t know that," she stated. This medical treatment caused her to lose weight while paradoxically making her face look bloated, a side effect that many misinterpreted.

She further addressed the culture of scrutiny, drawing a simple analogy. "If I apply kajal or wear lenses, people start thinking I’ve done something to my face. Guys, this is my face and it has its own personality," she asserted. While acknowledging everyone's right to enhance their looks, she emphasized that most changes people notice are often just makeup or minor touch-ups.

A Stern Message to Online Trolls

When asked if the constant trolling affects her, Priyanka showed remarkable resilience. "No, not at all. They don’t affect me. I choose not to let them," she replied. However, she expressed concern for others who might not possess the same thick skin. She criticized the insensitivity of commenting on someone's immutable physical traits.

"I want to say one thing to everyone—there are certain aspects of appearance that you should never comment on," she advised. "Only comment on something that can be fixed in ten seconds. If you say someone’s hair is messy, it can be fixed quickly. But commenting on someone’s height or body isn’t right."

Why Such Comments Are Harmful

Priyanka highlighted the deep-seated impact of careless remarks about looks. She pointed out that such comments breed insecurity, even if the target doesn't openly admit it. Using her friends as an example, she shared, "I have friends who are short, and even though they don’t complain, I know they struggle and feel conscious. That’s why such comments are not okay and people should stop doing this."

While accepting that public figures are subject to public discourse, she drew a line at malicious targeting. "I agree that we are public figures, but sometimes people become very insensitive, and that shouldn’t happen," she concluded, urging for more kindness and less judgment in online spaces.

As Priyanka Chahar Choudhary prepares for her starring role in Naagin 7, her stance serves as a strong reminder about the human behind the celebrity persona and the real-world impact of virtual words.
